BEYOND 2008 - GLOBAL FORUM REGIONAL CONSULTATIONS IN BELGRADE November 18th – 20th 2007 (BEST WESTERN HOTEL M – BELGRADE)
Regional consultations for NGOs working on drug problems in Eastern Europe and Central Asia has finished in Belgrade, by ending of second sub regional consultation, on November 20th 2007. Designated Vienna NGO Committee representative was Mr. David Turner and Regional lead NGOs were Anti-Drugs Association based in Belgrade *(president Bojan M. Ilic), E.C.A.D. – European Cities Against Drugs *(director Tomas Hallberg), and E.H.R.N. *(executive director Raminta Stuykite). Participants list was as follow *(only NGOs with certificate of attendance):
Two NGOs, one from Serbia and another one from Bosnia and Herzegovina are not published due to the validity of the process as they were not on all days present on the process and as they do not have certificate of attendance. Another two, one from Croatia and one from Albania, are not listed as these NGOs were been paid *(travel and accommodations) and they were not on the regional consultation process. Large numbers of NGOs through selection process were discovered as non-existing, or they did not want to participate the process or they refused our e-mails or other calls. ADA as regional lead NGO send this information through report to UN Office on Drugs and Crime - NGO Unit, UN Office on Drugs and Crime - Division for Policy Analysis and Public Affairs, and UN Vienna NGO Committee on Narcotic Drugs. Regional consultation for Eastern Europe and Central Asia was marked as successful and positive process by VNGOC and UNODC Country Office in Belgrade.
